Just the gals...
So John left at 5 this morning for his two week drill..well i don't know why they call it that its really 16 days! Anyway, its just Bailey and I. She slept in her bassinet last night for basically the first time and John and i snuggled all night hoping today wouldn't come, but it did. He got up and kissed m
e goodbye and held me while i cryed (of course) and gave his sleeping baby a kiss and she gave him the sweetest smile which brought a tear to his eye. I know he's gonna miss his little girl so much.

As you laugh and say its only two weeks.. This is just the beginning of it all, next comes one month of active duty He'll be gone everyday in Richmond and home only at night. Then he leaves for a year...and this two weeks just means that deployment is coming and we cant stop it. Time is just flying by, as much as we want these next to weeks to fly after that i would prefer for time to stand still. It feels like our life as a family has just begun and suddenly coming to a stop. I know Bailey and will be living, loving and growing while he's gone but i almost rather just freeze time till he comes back. I dont want him to miss all the things he's going to miss. First Christmas, first word, first step and first birthday so many huge events that i know he would love to be apart of.
He's such an amazing husband and father. He's does anything and everything to keep us safe and happy and well taken care of. I love to watch him and see the way he looks at her and holds her with such love and joy, but the past few weeks theres also been a sadness in his eyes because he knows he has to leave her and that just breaks my heart. I know we can both be strong and get through this, there is no other option. John is the love of my life and i will wait for him forever.

Its so hard to believe how fast the weeks have passed! Bailey was one month on Sunday!! She's growing like crazy and were discovering her personality, her likes and her dislikes. She's been an amazing baby.. she likes to throw us a curveball ever now and then and test us with a rough night or two. She's a happy little thing loves to coo and smile. Very tickleish but not too sure of it yet lol. John and I are loving being parents. Most rewarding job ever :)

Hello Bailey Mackenzie Clubb
The wait is over after 9 long months! On April 17th at 9:54 pm our beautiful little girl was born! 8lbs and 13ozs 20.4 inches long and a full head of hair!! She's perfect! I was induced Friday morning at 8Am and went into active labor around 3-4pm and then it was on!! I went totally natural and couldnt be happier about my decision to do that. What an amazing experience! She came out completely alert and wide eyed. The nurses and staff at the Culpeper birthing center were amazing and a huge help to me.We were able to leave the hospital Sunday around noon
She's one week and two days today! John and I are getting into the swing of parenthood. Its a big adjustment but totally worth it. She slept great the first few nights then tested us a bit for two nights she was up all night. We had a great night last night, shes finally getting her days and nights right. Hopefully we can stay that way! Being a mother has come pretty natural, its a bit challenging at times but its all part of the fun. Looking into this sweet little girls faces makes life make sense. John and i are more in love than ever! We just stop and look at her in amazement knowing that we made her!! Just us! What a feeling that is to know that you created another life. An even more intense feeling is knowing that your responsible for this little life.
My life has finally fallen into place. I feel full and whole. I have an amazing husband who has been so much help and suported me though the whole nine months of pregnancy. Its only been 11 months we've been married but we have gone through thick and thin together already. Now having this little blessing in our lives has made us complete (im sure 0ne or two more to come..later) He's already shown me hes a great husband but now I'm seeing what a great father he is too. Im one lucky women to be blessed this much!
All because two people fell in love~
