Sickness and blessings

We had Johns Yellow Ribbon Ceremony ( a deplyment welcome back)on the 19th,20th and 21st of November. We were quite excited to spend the weekend in a hotel in Richmond. That week Bailey had caught a stomach bug and was sick and puking and by Friday I had a full blown sinus infection....so we weren't off to a good start. We hit the Drs right before we headed to Richmond got me some meds and was good to go...or so i thought. Had a fun afternoon with friends on Friday and by bedtime I was feeling just lousy. Sure enough One AM hit and I was SICK,SICK,SICK! Ehh i was up all night and all the next day puking. Poor John had to attend all the classes on his own and Bailey was in the daycare. I was miserable all day. John checked in on me many many times. (he always takes such good care of me) Brought me Gatorade, ginger ale and little snacks (that i saw twice every time i ate ehhh). By Saturday night i was feeling better and drug myself out of the room to get some fresh air. Slept like a rock that night and woke up Sunday Feeling MUCH better. I was able to attend the half day of classes and pack up to hit the road.....Then i got a phone call that turned my Entire weekend upside down. It was my Big Brother Josh, my mom was on the way to his place to visit him and his kiddos he had for Thanksgiving break and as a surprise my other Brother Joey was coming and wanted to see everyone.(For those of you that don't know i hadn't seen my brothers in over a year) Us being in Richmond we were barely and hour from his place in the Norfolk area. I started to cry and looked over at John..Both of us extremely tired from a long weekend and me getting over a bug, but we knew we HAD to go. We jumped on 64 and went to his house. My mom was in shock to see all her kids together and even though i knew everyone would be there I was in shock aswell. It was an amazing day with my family. I couldn't take it all in, it was just so amazing. I got to talk and hang with my brothers and Bailey got to play with her cousins! It was a huge blessing and Im so Thankful for that Thanksgiving miracle.

November Update..kinda

Ok..Hmm well i haven't posted since Halloween..lol so That means almost a whole month has gone by..Geez! November has flown by. We went to A Veterans day Ceremony over at The National Cemetery on the 11th It was so special for John to be able to stand there proud as a Vet knowing he has fought for our country.

On the 17th Bailey turned 19 months! Ah! She needs to stop growing. The girl knows more words than i can even sit here and type. She so smart and so funny. She has a giggle that can warm your heart and a smile to brighten any bad day. John and I feel so blessed everyday for our little Family :)

Just Treats, No Tricks

Halloween was a little more fun this year than last year, but I think next year she will really get it! She found it pretty amusing that if she puts her bucket up to someone they will put something in it. She giggled everytime. Then she found a lollipop and that was super exciting! lol My little Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz enjoyed a sugar rush or two and loved her pretty shoes :) We went trunk or treating Saturday night then hung out at Gma and Gpa Clubb's Sunday afternoon. She loved being outside handing out candy with Daddy. She laughed, smiled and welcomed every kid who came up the driveway.
P.S Dont forget to check out the cute Nerds at the bottom ;p

Why is it......

Why are we nicer to strangers than our own family?

.
I heard a poem a while back about that. I couldn't find it online to post it...but think about it, how many times have we done that? I know everyone is guilty of that at least once. I know i have done it before. I think we assume family will always accept us no matter how nasty we are to each other. I think alot of people take their family for granted.

After getting married and having Bailey my view on family completely changed. Maybe having one of your own makes you realize how important they are..? I don't really know. Maybe I see that look in Baileys eyes when we are around family seeing how happy she is. She loves her grandparents!! They are her world and those Aunts of hers are so exciting to her! Family in the eyes of children can be so different than Adults. I guess as Adults we've had time to make mistakes, to hurt each other in some way or just spent too much time together, but i don't think you should get tired of time with family.

John and I were talking last night about how much family we have between the two of us and how incredibility blessed we are, but we also talked about the family who have chosen not to be apart of our lives and its not so much OUR life that hurts us, its Baileys. It breaks my heart that someone would not want a relationship with her. She is so young, Innocent and full of life. (and growing so fast) They have missed so much of her life already. To not send a one year old a Birthday card or say your coming to her party and just not show up (yes she may not know it) but that's just sad. It breaks my heart knowing Bailey might not have a relationship with some of her family.

We have forgiven and forgotten words that were said and actions that were made. That's part of acting like and adult and a parent. I don't want Bailey to see family acting or treating family in that manner. Its not healthy or Christlike to hold grudges, Nothing is more important than family. I hope in the future they can let go of whatever is eating them and realize what is important, and that's family. You cannot choose your family but you can choose to love them.

"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family"

“Treat your family like friends and your friends like family.”

He is......

He is my smile in the morning and my smile at night.

He is that hug that that holds me tight.

He is the kiss that makes you feel no one else is around .

He is that love that other people never found.

He is the support and the rock that keeps me sane.

He is the look that says everything is OK.

He is my personal retreat on a bad day.

He is the hand thats always there to hold

He is the warmth when I am cold.

He is my one and only.

He is there when i am lonely.

He is my everything, more than you would ever know.

His heart is so big it cant help but show.

His is my Husband, the father of my child.

My life, my love and just a little wild ;p

Happy Birthday to the most amazing man I've ever met.

Love you today, tomorrow and always.

One whole year and a half!

My dearest Bailey Mackenzie, when did you get soooo stinking old!? 18 months on this earth, 18 months of loving and trouble lol. As i sit here and type my sweet little girl is in the living room stripping off her jammies, unfolding all the laundry and trying on everyone elses clothes. My little fashion diva is growing up way too fast.
Here's some Bailey fun facts:
Her speech is great, the girl knows so many words I cant even sit here and type them all.
She must press every button she sees.

She dances everytime she hears music. ( the girl has some moves too)
She giggles at just about everything
Says Hi to everyone she sees.
She loves being outdoors.
She LOVES babies, dolls and the real thing.
She can make you smile no matter angry or upset you are.
She knows tons of animals and the sounds they make.
She lights up everytime she sees her Daddy.
Grandparents are her favorite!! (the grandpa's are super special)
When you fuss at her for doing something she now pretends she sleeping and lays her head down on something.
She can be the most loving snugly child ever, then the most wild child ever. (shes a sourpatch kid First their sour then sweet)
She's become a baby monkey! The girl climbs on EVERYTHING now!
She a vegetarian, she wont eat meat for anything.
Being naked is her favorite lol
She LOVES baths and brushing her teeth.
There's soooo much more i could say about this amazing daughter of ours, but the more i type the more she destroys the house. LOL She has blessed John and I in so many ways.
She is my everything

Change in the making

Fall crisp air, beautiful daughter playing with her toys and me awaiting my husbands arrival from work........These are the days. Perfect harmony the past few weeks. John is loving the Sheriffs Office and has amazing hours. (and boy, does he look like a hottie in the uniform ) Bailey as normal growing, learning and exploring. She's loving all our outdoor trips now that the weather is cooler. We finally got a dining room table!!! (all my love to craigslist) We missed our family dinners together. Fun floor picnics...just weren't much "fun" anymore. We have a few (hopefully) Big changes coming up soon. We are keeping our fingers crossed. We are excited and nervous and all of thee above! We are ready to make big steps, big plans and big changes! John and I have been working on many great things to better us inside and out :) We are opening a new chapter in our lives.

We are loving being a family again. It was so surreal for so long, but it feels amazing still. Waking up every morning and falling asleep every night next to my husbund makes everyday wonderful. Its so easy to take the little things like that for granted. Married ladies don't forget how blessed you are to have your husband by your side. I love making his lunch in the mornings (with a secret note on the napkin that he always knows is there) and sending him off to work with a kiss. I love watching Bailey wave and blow kisses to him as he gets in his car and how extremely excited she gets when he walks in the door every afternoon. These little moments make his day and mine. I love being a Wife and most of all a Mommy :)

17 sweet sweet months

Holy Cow! Bailey turned 17 months on Friday. She will be a year and half next month!! Seems unreal, but this crazy girl is a toddler for sure!! There is no denying this wild child is full of fun, spunk, curiosity and Trouble (yes with a capital T) oh and tantrums!!! haha She is unbelievably smart, sometimes too smart for her own good. I'm still amazed how fast she learns things. I cant imagine life without this beautiful little girl!

The start of somethin new..

I am so proud of John. What an amazing husband I have! What a lucky girl I am. He has been so amazing and supportive through out this past year. We were praying that he would come and home a find a job and our lives would be able to jump right back in their places.....and it happened just like that.

Congrats to Culpeper County's newset Deputy John Clubb.

Nothing like a man in uniform ;)

Picture perfect

A few weeks back we went and had family photos done. We were so excited to finally have some real family pics after a year for John being away! Heres a sneek peek at a few of our favs :)

16 months wild child!

On the 17th Bailey turned 16 months! Boy, this little girl is growing up too quickly. We've been having a bast with this wild toddler. Bailey is such a little sponge. Its amazing what she learns everyday. She's so smart and so funny. She has the sweetest and most loving personality but also this wild, silly and spiteful side. hahaha The toddler tantrums have begun..what fun.. ha. Shes really enjoying having Daddy around everyday as am I. He's such a huge help, its so nice sharing the responsibilities of parenthood.

Bailey first beach trip

We went down to Myrtle Beach last week to visit family and hit the beach a bit. It was our first Family vacation!! Bailey loved the sand and water, she's a natural beach bum. We broke up the trip and stayed in NC overnight on the way there and back. It was a great trip. We really enjoyed being able to spend time with my grandmother and seeing my cousin and her husband. The vacation was great for us it was a nice break before reality set in of finding John a job and car. But our prayers were answered as soon as we got home we had a phone call from the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office asking John to come in the next day. Long story short...He got he job!!! Such a huge relief! We are so excited for him to start and soon to embark on a new adventure of finding a house!

Me and my Shadow.

Me and my shadow
We're closer than pages that stick in a book
We're closer than ripples that play in a brook
Strolling down the avenue
Wherever you find him, you'll find me, just look
